Job Description
The Process Operator in the Dry Room will play a crucial role in assisting with duties in manufacturing an API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient), including grinding, monitoring computer panels, and conducting in-process testing such as pH and column chromatography. In the Dry Room, the operator will wear PPE for 2-3 hours at a time, manage wet material from dryers, mill it for drying, and pack it into 50-gallon drums, ensuring proper sealing and labeling. Additionally, they will perform milling to refine materials into smaller, finer powder, and handle loading and unloading of freeze dryers. Documentation and adherence to SOPs are essential, as well as conducting finished material tests as needed.
Responsibilities
+ Assist with duties in manufacturing including grinding and monitoring computer panels.
+ Wear PPE for 2-3 hours while handling wet material from dryers and milling it for drying.
+ Pack dry powder material into 50-gallon drums, ensure proper sealing and labeling.
+ Perform milling to refine materials into smaller, finer powder.
+ Handle loading and unloading of freeze dryers.
+ Document processes and adhere to SOPs.
+ Conduct finished material tests as required.
Requirements
+ High School Diploma required.
+ 6 months to 1 year of GMP experience.
+ Ability to follow SOPs and manage batch records.
Work Environment
The work environment includes a production office where batch records are stored and an office where purchasing activities are conducted. The position requires working on the first shift from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM. The team currently consists of 3 members, with a total allotment of 5.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
