Job Title: Fabrication Specialist
Job Description
As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up machines, machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, extrusion, and tube bending. You will perform composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks, assembling precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components. Your role includes assembling, repairing, modifying, and installing various power plants and drive trains, performing soldering on electronic and avionics products, and assembling and installing wire harnesses and avionics products. Additionally, you will prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices for various tests and apply organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements. You will work on complex components and systems using established drawings and requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Set up machines, machining, and welding tasks.
+ Perform sheet metal fabrication, extrusion, and tube bending.
+ Conduct composite lay-up, fabrication, and assembly tasks.
+ Assemble precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
+ Repair, modify, and install various power plants and drive trains.
+ Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.
+ Assemble and install wire harnesses and avionics products.
+ Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices for tests.
+ Apply organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
+ Work on complex components and systems using established drawings.
Essential Skills
+ Orbital tube weld certification.
+ Experience with tube installation.
+ Experience in fabrication and avionics installation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with cable harness.
+ Experience working in small, confined spaces.
+ Agility and flexibility in performing tasks.

Work Environment
The work environment requires comfort in small, confined spaces and agility. The role involves working on panels with a weight limit of 250 lbs. The position follows the first shift schedule from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, ensuring a structured workday.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Merritt Island, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
