Job Title: Security Installation Technician
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Security Installation Technician with 5-10 years of expertise in troubleshooting, installation, and programming of Access Control Systems (ACS), IP-Based CCTV systems, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and IP-Based intercom systems. This role involves the installation of copper and fiber optic cabling, termination, mounting and wiring of control panels, and installation of network switches. You will also conduct quarterly preventive maintenance inspections using provided test procedures and Excel spreadsheets for verification, as well as handle standard and emergency service calls to diagnose and resolve issues.
Responsibilities
+ Install and program Access Control Systems, IP-Based CCTV systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, and IP-Based intercom systems.
+ Pull, terminate, and install copper and fiber optic cabling.
+ Mount and wire control panels, and install network switches.
+ Conduct quarterly preventive maintenance inspections using Excel spreadsheets.
+ Perform standard and emergency service calls to diagnose and resolve system issues.
+ Complete service request paperwork and documentation.
Essential Skills
+ 5-10 years of experience in troubleshooting, installation, and programming ACS, CCTV, IDS, and intercom IP-based systems.
+ Proficient knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and construction safety requirements.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, O365, and Teams.
+ Ability to work autonomously with attention to detail and problem resolution skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 5 years of safety supervisory experience with preferably OSHA 30 certification.
+ Certifications Required: Software House CCURE 9000, Milestone VMS, Avigilon.
+ Certification Preferred (must be able to obtain): Security+, ATOPSEC, OSHA 30.
+ Must pass background checks, periodic drug testing, MVR screenings, and possess a valid driver’s license.

Work Environment
Work is conducted on military base construction sites. The role requires adherence to safety regulations and standards.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Madison, Alabama.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
