Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by maintaining and repairing plant equipment. This position requires working the 3rd shift, Monday through Friday, from 10 PM to 7 AM.
Responsibilities
+ Adhere to all state and federal OSHA codes and regulations.
+ Comply with all health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations.
+ Perform both planned and unplanned repairs on plant equipment.
+ Execute preventive maintenance (PM) tasks.
+ Utilize written and verbal communication skills to ensure effective communication.
+ Maintain work orders in a CMMS (Maintenance Connection).
+ Manage spare parts inventory activities.
+ Ensure a clean and organized maintenance area.
+ Take personal ownership of company, plant, and department goals for quality, productivity, and safety.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics.
+ A minimum of two (2) years of industrial maintenance experience.
+ Experience troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical breakdowns.
+ Ability to use a computer for record-keeping and documentation.
+ Experience reading and interpreting hydraulic and electrical prints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs. on occasion.
+ Capability to work in fluctuating temperatures and perform tasks both indoors and outdoors as needed.
+ Frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands for fine manipulation.
+ Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or sit.
+ Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
The Maintenance Technician will work in a temperature-controlled facility, with temperatures ranging from approximately 68°F in the winter to 85°F in the summer. The role requires wearing hearing protection, eye protection, and safety shoes. Daily tasks involve exposure to grease, oils, and other manufacturing-related chemicals, as well as being in proximity to elevated temperatures and heat sources of up to 800°F.

This is a Contract position based out of Covington, Georgia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
