Job Title: Steam Controls Technician
Job Description
As a Steam Controls Technician, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of steam plant boilers, which can be up to 4,000 BHP, and other equipment associated with the steam plant. Your role includes operating and controlling utility panels to maintain utility services to the plants, with Delta-V knowledge and operation being preferable. You will inspect the steam plant to check meters, charts, pressures, and temperatures, monitor and troubleshoot the Boiler Plant Operation Control system, and create trends and graphs to pinpoint and monitor control system failures. Additionally, you will troubleshoot electronic and digital controls, tune and calibrate boiler controls and gauges, and perform preventative maintenance on plant boilers and related equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure safe and efficient operation of steam plant boilers and associated equipment.
+ Operate and control utility panels to maintain utility services to the plants.
+ Inspect steam plant to check meters, charts, pressures, and temperatures.
+ Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Boiler Plant Operation Control system.
+ Create trends and graphs to pinpoint and monitor control system failures.
+ Troubleshoot electronic and digital controls; tune and calibrate boiler controls and gauges.
+ Perform preventative maintenance on plant boilers and related equipment.
Essential Skills
+ 5 years of experience as a controls technician for a boiler plant.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and edit PLCs or DCSs.
+ Calibrate gauges and perform electrical troubleshooting of steam systems.
+ Knowledge of boilers, computers, and controls.
+ Third Class Power Engineers License.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Ability to lift up to 150 pounds and bend, stoop, and twist.
+ Third Class Power Engineers License issued by NIULPE.

Work Environment
The work environment is industrial and not climate controlled, involving both indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme weather and high noise areas. The position is primarily first shift, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Sunday through Thursday, with flexibility to accommodate different schedules if needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, Georgia.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $41.00/hr.
