Job Title: Production Operator
Job Description
As a Production Operator, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and the quality of the finished product. This position is ideal for individuals with a history in manufacturing or warehouse environments who are mechanically inclined and can handle physical labor.
Responsibilities
+ Set up raw materials along the production line.
+ Operate both palletizers and the shingle wrapper.
+ Utilize stretch wrappers for all pallets and operate banding equipment.
+ Use powered industrial vehicles including forklifts, Mule, sweepers, and scrubbers.
+ Load and stack rewraps.
+ Maintain and troubleshoot the shingle machine, clearing jams as needed.
+ Inspect the quality of finished products.
+ Build pallets and clean the manufacturing equipment and production area.
+ Assist in other areas as needed.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
+ Ability to work with basic hand tools.
+ Experience working 12-hour shifts.
+ Physical labor capability and general production knowledge.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience as an assembler or machine operator preferred.
+ Ability to work in a hot open environment.
+ Comfortable with tasks such as assembly, machine operation, packaging, inspection, and using a tape measure.

Work Environment
You will work in a heavy industrial environment with rotating 2-2-3 schedules, either 7pm-7am or 7am-7pm, requiring willingness to work every other weekend. The environment can be loud and temperature is affected by seasons and weather. Expect to stand and walk for extended periods, and be able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch. You will need to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products, with or without reasonable accommodation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, Texas.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.90 - $21.90/hr.
