    **Job Description:** The Mold Setter is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of presses and answering operator call lights. This role involves setting up jobs before production begins, maintaining proper operation methods, and performing basic machine maintenance. The Mold Setter may also serve as a back-up supervisor when the shift supervisor is unavailable, ensuring machine efficiency and shift utilization by promptly setting and processing molds.

    Responsibilities

    + Review schedule for upcoming jobs and confirm necessary tools for changes.

    + Complete mold changes per Mattec and start-up, wearing hard hats and locking out machines.

    + Ensure cycle runs to standard and notify supervisor if deviations occur.

    + Submit start-up paperwork and first shot to Quality Leader.

    + Clean and organize machine area post set-up, ensuring molds are returned to racks.

    + Complete daily mold maintenance sheets and PCLs.

    + Answer alarms and troubleshoot issues as needed.

    + Perform daily audits to verify set-up verifications and process adjustments.

    + Maintain proper operation methods and make necessary machine adjustments considering engineering and quality guidelines.

    + Set tools following established processes.

    + Maintain department housekeeping by organizing tools and equipment.

    + Participate in courses to develop or broaden processing or tool setting skills.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ years of injection mold processing experience

    + 2+ years of mold or die setting experience

    + Knowledge of molding process, secondary operations, and standard processes

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + RJG exposure

    + Overhead Crane experience

    + Forklift Certification

    + Process Engineering experience

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
