Job Title: Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Technician responsible for analyzing and resolving electrical problems, troubleshooting, and ensuring continuous improvement on analog/digital electronic control systems, PLC programming, HMI systems, and computer network communications.

Responsibilities

+ Analyze and resolve electrical problems on analog/digital electronic control systems.

+ Troubleshoot and continuously improve PLC programming, HMI systems, and computer network communications.

+ Document and implement work order procedures for new equipment/technology, ensuring complete documentation of all system modifications.

+ Install and maintain Process Control Instruments, both pneumatic and electronic.

+ Repair, calibrate, and clean all instruments, pressure switches, flow tubes, and gauges to ensure minimal downtime and efficient utilization.

+ Maintain flow of process ensuring proper machine settings and speeds.

+ Monitor key process points and maintain records ensuring compliance with established standards.

+ Act as a troubleshooter to identify line performance issues and assist in correcting them.

+ Install, adjust, and repair processing equipment in accordance with specifications.

+ Maintain equipment utilizing a Planned Maintenance Program.

+ Ensure employee safety by monitoring compliance with safety procedures and evaluating processes for safety risks.

+ Oversee strict observance of all safety rules and exercise caution around moving machinery.

+ Maintain general housekeeping of maintenance and production areas, promoting a clean and safe work environment.

+ Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in maintenance repair, mechanical and electrical repair, and troubleshooting.

+ Proficiency in electrical wiring, hydraulics, pneumatics, preventive maintenance, and mechanical repair.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Two-year certificate from a college or technical school, or six to twelve months related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

Work in a food production facility with a controlled environment requiring hair nets, beard nets, boot coverings, etc. The team consists of approximately 6-10 people, working on lines for canning foods.

This is a Permanent position based out of FARIBAULT, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47800.00 - $58000.00/yr.

For the Holiday Schedule all days listed are paid without needing to use any PTO. The plant shutdown varies each year based on when the holidays fall but it is always Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day is our shutdown time. President’s Day this year was our floating holiday so that is not always the same.

For the medical premiums the cost does drop for the following year if they do the biometric screen in October at our on-site wellness fair. That information is listed on page 13 in the benefit guide.

There is a wellness program that employees can earn anywhere from $75-$150 based on how many points they earn throughout the year and is paid out to them early January of the following year.

Fitness Club reimbursement program that after 8 visits in one calendar month we reimburse $20 to help with gym membership fees and we provide a discount on fitness tracking devices (fitbit) the company will pay up to $30 on your first purchase of a fitbit whether the purchase is made through the client or if the employee purchases one on their own.

client offers company paid life insurance, long term and short term disability, and 401K plans that Faribault Foods, Inc. matches %50 of employee contributions up to %6.

Employees are eligible for all benefits at 60 days except 401K employees are eligible at 90 days.
