    Job Title: Production Worker -1st Shift

    Job Description

    Join a dynamic team to assist in the production process of assembling the bottom portion of mattresses. As a Production Worker, you will engage in various stages of production, ensuring high-quality standards and efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    + Position 1 - Assemblers: Lay down foam mattress bottom, spray hot glue on the perimeter, assemble foam blocks to create a square for the mattress, drop the spring unit into the square, spray hot glue on the perimeter, lay down top covering, label by color, and lift overhead to flip onto the assembly line.

    + Position 2 - Taggers: Fit top sheet and foam top onto the assembled unit, fit law tag covering, use a staple gun to secure the law tag sheet tightly, and throw onto the assembly line.

    + Position 3 - Finishers: Lay down the final overlay sheet, check for quality defects before stacking onto a pallet for stocking/shipping.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience on a production or assembly line.

    + Ability to lift 40-50 lbs throughout the shift with a teammate.

    + Ability to stand, bend, twist, squat, and lift for the entire duration of the shift.

    + Ability to read English and understand specific codes on law tags.

    + Team mentality and ability to work efficiently with a partner.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Quality Inspection experience.

    + Skills in using tools such as micrometers and calipers.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a large union production facility that is well-lit and clean. The environment is not climate-controlled, so it can be warm in the summer and cold in the winter. Large industrial fans are provided throughout the warehouse. The dress code includes long pants, tennis shoes, a t-shirt, and safety glasses, which are provided by the company.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $16.85 - $16.85/hr.
