    Job Title: Concrete Construction Worker

    Job Description

    Join a leading company in the Concrete Industry as a Concrete Finisher/Form Carpenter in Frederick, MD. This role involves working on various concrete construction projects, ensuring precision and quality in building wooden forms and finishing concrete surfaces.

    Responsibilities

    + Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge.

    + Shape or cut materials to precise measurements and assemble boards, timber, or plywood to the necessary size.

    + Build wooden forms in the shape of the structure, securing them with nails, bolts, screws, or anchor rods using hand tools, machines, or a power saw.

    + Follow established safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe and clean environment.

    + Study specifications in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions, shape, design, and materials required.

    + Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of wooden structures and repair or replace them using hand tools.

    + Prepare the worksite for concrete; set steel and wooden forms for concrete.

    + Place plastic concrete into forms and spread to specified depth, level, and straighten the surface.

    + Provide a floated, trowelled, or textured surface as specified and cut joints to control cracking.

    + Operate machines that speed production and semi-automate the placing and finishing process.

    + Cure and protect concrete surfaces.

    + Properly use dry pack grouting, epoxy coating, and other specialty products, anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other inserts in freshly placed concrete.

    + Install specialty concrete and apply architectural surface treatments such as hardeners, coloring, textures, or patterns.

    + Saw, cut, or core drill existing concrete.

    + Restore concrete surfaces; repair, resurface, and replace damaged sections of floors, walls, pavements, and other concrete structures.

    + Train and instruct new team members.

    + Assist site superintendent.

    Essential Skills

    + Concrete finishing

    + Concrete form carpentry

    + Rebar

    + 4+ years experience either finishing concrete or setting forms

    + Concrete construction

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + U.S. citizenship required

    + Additional concrete experience is a plus

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
