Hiring Material Handler

Job Description

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for managing the storage, movement, and disbursement of materials to meet production requirements. This role involves approximately 60% forklift operation and 40% manual picking.

Responsibilities

+ Complete PIT equipment training and certification for forklift operation at the facility.

+ Ensure proper warehousing of materials.

+ Attend daily pre-shift meetings to align with production goals.

+ Learn and utilize the inventory management system efficiently.

+ Understand and follow instructions on build tickets and picking documents.

+ Safely and properly move materials through various stages: from truck to dock, dock to rack locations, rack locations to picking areas, picking areas to kits, picking areas to production, and picking areas to outbound customer facilities.

+ Adhere to all safety regulations at all times.

+ Support the Quality and Environmental policies and Management Systems.

+ Perform other duties as needed or required.

Essential Skills

+ Forklift operation certification

+ Inventory control

+ Material handling expertise

+ Experience in shipping and receiving

+ Proficiency with RF scanners

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Entry-level candidates accepted

+ Desire to learn and grow within the role

+ Ability to use computers

+ High School Diploma preferred but not required

Work Environment

Work within a production facility featuring six assembly lines. Shifts are Monday through Friday, with options for 1st shift and 2nd shift from 3pm to 12:30am. Dress code includes steel-toed shoes, jeans, and a t-shirt, with PPE such as eye, ear, and hand protection provided.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alburtis, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
