Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing employees in the production departments, providing training, motivation, and discipline. The role includes maintaining a professional and respectful work environment while ensuring confidentiality in supervisory and management matters. The Production Supervisor mentors, leads, and provides direction for employees, recommending to plant management procedures, systems, equipment, and machinery alterations to improve efficiency and product quality.
Responsibilities
+ Supervise and mentor employees in production departments.
+ Maintain confidentiality and a respectful work environment.
+ Recommend alterations to reduce costs and improve production efficiency.
+ Initiate work orders for maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
+ Audit hourly employee’s timecards for accuracy and update payroll electronic timecards.
+ Administer and enforce company rules, regulations, and policies.
+ Ensure compliance with safety programs.
+ Evaluate employee performance and establish goals for manufacturing techniques.
+ Maintain housekeeping standards.
+ Control the handling and use of toxic and hazardous materials.
+ Interface with others to ensure customer deadlines are met.
+ Inspect and measure parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
+ Direct workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair non-standard products.
+ Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
+ Develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods.
+ Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work problems.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in production supervision and management.
+ Knowledge of lean manufacturing and process improvement.
+ Ability to prepare jobs and supervise industrial manufacturing processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
+ 2 or more years of supervisory experience in manufacturing preferred.
+ Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
+ Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
+ Excellent time management, project coordination, and organizational skills.
+ Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
+ Ability to read and interpret business periodicals and technical documents.
+ Effective communication skills for presenting information and responding to questions.
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $78900.00 - $90000.00/yr.
