    Job Title: Journeyman Plumber

    Job Description

    The Journeyman Plumber will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing plumbing and irrigation equipment throughout the campus. The role includes performing standard plumbing tasks, such as faucet repairs, while more complex jobs like those involving commercial boilers are outsourced. The Journeyman Plumber will manage work orders and oversee three apprentices, primarily focusing on preventative maintenance but assisting with repairs when necessary.

    Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot and repair plumbing and irrigation equipment across campus.

    + Complete and assign work orders to apprentices.

    + Perform standard plumbing tasks and preventative maintenance.

    + Assist apprentices with repairs when needed.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of experience as a Journeyman Plumber.

    + Commercial plumbing experience.

    + Journeyman License.

    + Strong troubleshooting skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Leadership qualities and ability to work as a team player.

    + Ability to work in various weather conditions.

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based on a mid-size college campus, with most work performed outdoors. Employees should be comfortable working in various weather conditions, as the role involves exposure to elements such as heat and cold. Maintenance departments provide golf carts for convenient campus navigation. The position follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 8am to 5pm, with on-call duties for one week each month, offering additional pay for each night on call. Opportunities for overtime are available.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Corpus Christi, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr.
