    Position Summary

    The HR Intern will support the Human Resources department in various functions, gaining hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and HR administration within a manufacturing environment. This role provides an opportunity to develop HR skills while contributing to a dynamic workplace. The position will be based in Gurnee, Illinois.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    + Assist in recruitment processes, including coordinating onsite scheduling availability and resume screening.

    + Support new hire orientation, training sessions and documentation.

    + Help maintain HR records, including personnel files and compliance documentation.

    + Participate in employee engagement initiatives and workplace culture development.

    + Ensure compliance with labor laws.

    + Assist in basic investigations related to workplace incidents, employee concerns or compliance issues.

    + Support performance management efforts, including assisting with employee write-ups and maintaining disciplinary documentation.

    Education & Experience:

    + Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources or related field.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Talents

    + Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

    + Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

    + Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

    + Interest in HR compliance, labor laws and employee relations.

    + Willingness to collaborate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    + A desire to learn the company’s business and industry, coupled with a desire for professional growth.

    + Computer literacy with proficient use of Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

     

    Pay

     

    The estimated base pay range for this position is $20/hr – $25/hr. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location.
