Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the head coach in day-to-day operations and coaching of a Division I intercollegiate program that includes but is not limited to the following:

+ Experience and knowledge of working with and developing post players.

+ Ability to assist Head Coach with defensive strategies.

+ Assist in scheduling games as directed by Head Coach.

+ Ability to identify and recruit quality student-athletes on a national and regional level.

+ Prepares and presents scouting reports.

+ Ability to generate ideas and strategies to help promote the Women’s Basketball Program.

+ Assist in planning and organizing practices.

+ Assists with summer camps.

+ Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related field and two-four years of related coaching experience at collegiate level.

Qualifications

+ Master’s preferred and collegiate experience preferred.

+ Ability to draw upon coaching/playing experience and contribute to technical training as well as in match tactical adjustment.

+ Strong communication and organizational skills.

+ Working knowledge of compliance with NCAA and conference rules and regulations.

+ May include knowledge base in sport specific platforms/software.

+ Candidates should have experience working in a culturally diverse environment and experience with college basketball coaching and recruiting.

+ Understanding of and compliance with NCAA rules and regulations.

+ Commitment to the mission of Jesuit higher education.
