Position Overview:

Uses Sutter Health Information Services (IS) standardized processes, methodologies, tools, and templates to oversee the management of all project management activities and deliverables. Provides leadership and direction to regional resources while overseeing the management of scope, issues, risks, work plans, deliverables, communications, assigned staffs, vendors, and budget across multiple concurrent projects. Ensures consistency with Information Services (IS) strategy and processes across all projects and client satisfaction with all projects. Collaborates with IS leaders and team members to ensure projects are safeguarded and leveraged to their highest potential.
This role will support Sutter Sync, an innovative virtual chronic disease management program. The PM Manager will play a key role in building team infrastructure and culture, optimizing communication and planning tools, and identifying opportunities to apply technology to streamline project management tasks. They will also support product management functions, assist in setting strategic direction, and eventually hire and mentor a Project Coordinator to scale program operations effectively.
This role will bridge traditional project management with select product management responsibilities, including backlog prioritization, stakeholder requirement gathering, and coordinating cross-functional teams through enhancements and incident resolution. Familiarity with Epic—our primary EHR and closest vendor—is highly preferred, as the role will work closely with our Epic Application Manager and support product planning and optimization within that ecosystem.

EDUCATION:
_Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma._
+ Bachelor's: Business Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or relate field or equivalent education/experience
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
+ 8 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
+ Provide guidance, direction, and leadership to resources in performing all duties and functions including the individual development of skills, knowledge, and experience.
+ Manage project portfolio and the overall project management activities in accordance with Sutter Health policies and standards including the development and maintenance of ongoing reporting designed to assess progress and compliance of projects.
+ Ability to analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify patterns, tendencies, and relationships resulting in the formulation of logical and objective conclusions.
+ Expertise in Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Microsoft Office Suite and Project, and Project Management Office (PMO) structure, operation, workflow, and best practices.
+ Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with audiences across all areas and levels within Sutter Health as well as external organizations.
+ Ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities.
+ Ability to work effectively in a matrixed IS environment using communication and leadership skills for securing qualified resources, delivery commitments, and funding.
+ Ability to support business leaders with knowledge on IS performance and projects.
+ Ability to use basic English words and phrases to effectively and clearly organize and communicate thoughts and ideas.

Pay Range is $64.85 to $97.28 / hour
_The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
