    As an Executive Sales Representative with Banner Plans & Networks, you will call upon your medical insurance knowledge, sales experience, and marketing expertise to meet targeted goals. You will market to establishments that have a specific Medicare target. You will create and nurture relationships with brokers, providers, clinic staff, and internal team members. In addition to a brokered sales expectation, you will also have a direct sales target. Your ability to be mentally agile will contribute to your success in this role. Strong technology skills are required. **Two plus years of Medicare experience is required and experience with Medicare Advantage plans is highly preferred for this role.**

     

    This is a Remote Hybrid role. You will work out of a home office and travel extensively in your territory and to the Phoenix Arizona Corporate Office. The territory for this role will be the Phoenix Metro Area. Your work schedule will vary including days, evenings, and weekends depending on the needs of the business. This is a salaried and exempt from overtime role.

     

    This role does require a current healthcare insurance license in the State of Arizona or the ability to obtain a current healthcare insurance license within 90 days of hire.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    This position supports Health Plan sales by meeting assigned personal sales and persistency targets for both broker distribution and direct sales. Accountable for revenue, relationships, and organic growth across their assigned territory including brokers, providers, consumers, and strategic community partners. This position will lead and coordinate the work to facilitate sales through a book of brokers/sales agents, neighborhood alliances and Banner Medical Groups. This work will include sales development, broker alliances/channels, and various direct to consumer channels. In addition, they are accountable for direct-to-consumer seminars, sales presentations for both enrollments and educational events, and provider alliance based selling opportunities.

     

    This individual must have superior presentation skills; the ability to grasp and leverage sophisticated sales techniques; and have strong relationship building skills for both broker and direct to consumer sales. The focus will be not only on closing sales and taking enrollments, but also on making sure that the business is enrolled appropriately through the Banner system, and ultimately through to CMS.

    CORE FUNCTIONS

    1. Coordinates outreach and sales activities in the states/counties in the service area to meet monthly sales goal which includes a combination of broker and direct based selling. This position works closely with the sales leadership to develop strategic sales opportunities within the marketplace with providers, brokers, and community leaders to promote Banner Medicare products.

    2. Participates in broker meetings, member outreach, and network-based meetings that drive sales growth. Maintains knowledge of all current and new products. Provide education to internal Insurance Division staff on benefit changes when required. Conducts sales presentations for enrolling direct to consumer during AEP. Master competition’s offerings each year and identifies possible market issues to leadership with new product rollouts. Provides ongoing and monthly training for existing and new brokers on benefits, sales operations and enrollment platforms, selling skills, monthly broker meet ups, and other related broker events with agency partners.

    3. This position may manage a larger assigned territory through expansion and be responsible for personal sales achievement and/or broker distribution goals. Develops sales lead opportunities through local area marketing efforts and provider-based opportunities to hit monthly personal production sales goals, conducts sales presentations and follow-up to include enrollment processing with prospective individuals.

    4. Maintains strong working knowledge of the benefit structure, CMS Sales and Marketing Compliance, Healthcare Marketplace rules and regulations, Arizona administrative code and related statues, and any organization/entity/law/act that govern health plan products.

    5. Manage all aspects of broker recruitment in assigned territory to hit broker distribution goals. Provides broker/provider coaching, develops forecasting and planning with sales management, and ensures systems and processes are in place to land and expand sales opportunities.

     

    Partner with brokers, product development, and other organizations to ensure customer intelligence as leveraged to drive product development, bid, and future business development decisions.

     

    6. Develop and execute on key broker and provider strategies, tools, training, and collateral that enhance both brokered and direct sales. Leverage presentation skills to provide presence at key industry conferences and trade shows. This includes presenting at agency sponsored events annually regarding Banner products and services.

    7. Responsible for running sales presentations and seminars to maintain acceptable close rates set by Banner management, collecting enrollments, running follow up appointments that result from seminars and other lead sources during AEP/OEP. Compliantly completing enrollments, HRA and other related requirements for compliant selling. Accountable for managing leads in Sales Force and maintaining acceptable turn around and close rates for outreach.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Requires associate’s degree or equivalent working knowledge 5+ years of healthcare marketing and/or sales experience.

     

    Must possess or obtain a current health care insurance license within 90 days of hire. Knowledge of federal/state laws, rules, and regulations as they pertain to health coverage issues; knowledge of Medicare, AHCCCS or similar healthcare agency relative to operations, market position, benefits structure.

     

    Must be extremely organized, work independently and be a dynamic communicator and able to work flexible hours including some weekends

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    Systems expertise in Sales Force and Power point preferred.

     

    Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
