Count Team Supervisor Pahrump Nugget, Gold Town & Lakeside (Pahrump, NV)
Description:
Summary:Responsible for the day-to-day operation and direct supervisor of all activities within the Count Room department.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
+ Assist with training, developing, measuring performance, disciplining, and/or scheduling department staff, as assigned
+ Establish standards of service within assigned department(s) and ensure achievement
+ Monitor and control labor within the department while maintaining adequate coverage in the department based on business demands
+ Schedule all drop and count room activities in accordance with the relevant Gaming Control Board standards
+ Develop and implement count room policies and procedures in accordance with the Gaming Control Board and the internal control systems of the company
+ Prepare reports and input data in the appropriate computer systems as required to account for all count room transactions properly
+ Investigate any reported variances or exceptions in order to mitigate the risk of fraud effectively
+ Communicate with the property controller any issues in the count room which would affect the proper reporting of revenue
+ Coordinate the activities of the count room with cage management to ensure proper operations and transference of funds
+ Ensure company equipment is properly maintained
+ Act as liaison between the count room and all operating departments providing assistance when necessary
+ Perform duties of Count Team attendants when necessary
+ Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members
+ Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position
+ Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications
+ 6 months of count room experience preferred
+ Previous cash handling experience preferred
+ Prior experience working in a team or group environment
+ Ability to develop and implement processes and methods for count room operations
+ Ability to effectively communicate and lead in small groups, as well as on an individual basis
+ Knowledge of the standards of the Nevada Gaming Control Board pertaining to the drop and count process
+ Knowledge of Synchros, CDS, Oasis, CMS or equivalent computer programs
+ Strong computational/mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals as well as percentages
+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred
+ Must be at least 21 years of age
+ Intermediate computer skills (experience with Microsoft Word and Excel)
+ Able to functionally communicate occupational-based English, both written and verbal
+ Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements
+ Constantly standing at least 75% of the time
+ Regularly lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, bending and/or kneeling
+ Physical condition for repetitive movement
+ Vision, hearing, speech, phone, radio, and literacy (critical)
+ Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
+ Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
+ Additional conditions include the ever-present hazard of sharp edges in and around the slot machines, and poor air quality inside the count room due to excessive dust
