    Job Title: Staff Accountant

    Job Summary:

    The Staff Accountant will work closely with other members of the Accounting/ Finance group to ensure timely and accurate completion of the month-end close process. This includes running queries and analyzing requested information. The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, assist with audit requests, and other ad-hoc requests.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Assists with monthly close processing, including preparation of general ledger reconciliations

    + Prepares, inputs and logs journal entries

    + Assists in the preparation of tax notices and filings

    + Processes expense reimbursements and check runs

    + Ensures compliance with policies and procedures

    + Assists with internal and external accounting audits

    + Assists in the implementation of process and system changes

    + Any other duties and projects as requested by management

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

    + Minimum 1–3 years of experience. Must possess at least one year of experience in a high volume, fast paced accounting role

    + CPA and/or MBA a plus but not required

    + Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Understanding of Financial Accounting Systems; Understanding of GAAP
