GE Appliances is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and entrepreneurial leader to spearhead the creation and execution of the product strategy for Commercial Water Heating – a new product category for the company. This individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Heating & Water business by identifying market opportunities, defining the go-to-market approach, building product roadmaps, and collaborating cross-functionally to bring innovative solutions to life.
As the first product management leader for this category, you will act as a general manager and be responsible for setting the vision, establishing category goals, and ensuring execution from concept through commercialization.

How You'll Create Possibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
+ **Category Strategy & Market Entry:**
+ Develop a comprehensive category strategy for commercial water heating, including market analysis, competitive benchmarking, customer segmentation, and business case development.
+ Define entry strategies including build vs. buy vs. partner decisions.
+ Establish and communicate a compelling vision and value proposition for GE Appliances in the commercial water heating space.
+ **Product Lifecycle Management:**
+ Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through launch and post-launch optimization.
+ Define and prioritize product roadmaps, leveraging voice-of-customer insights, market trends, and emerging technologies.
+ **Cross-Functional Leadership:**
+ Partner with engineering, operations, sales, marketing, supply chain, and service teams to align on execution plans and ensure flawless product delivery.
+ Lead business reviews and update stakeholders across the organization on progress, performance, and pivot plans.
+ **Customer & Market Insight:**
+ Conduct extensive voice-of-customer (VoC) research with commercial customers, specifiers, and channel partners.
+ Translate market needs into actionable product requirements and innovative solutions.
+ **P&L & Financial Accountability:**
+ Develop financial models and business cases to justify investments.
+ Establish KPIs and track performance metrics to ensure financial targets are achieved.

+ **Influential Leadership:** Influences business decisions made by functional leadership, as well as others outside the function, regarding policies, practices, and procedures, demonstrating persuasive communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a cross functional team.
+ **Execution Management:** Possesses practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics within a function, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of results.
Preferred Competencies
+ Knowledge of PIM, Pricing & Marketing, PSI, iNPI, OBIEE & Product Distribution
+ Proficient in research, research, planning & forecasting.
Educational and Experiential Background
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
+ Minimum 10 years of experience in one or more of the following area(s): Product Management, Program Management, Technology and/or Sourcing in a business to business structured role
+ Proven success in launching or managing a new product category or entering a new market.
+ Experience in plumbing, water heating, or commercial building products
Preferred Education/Experience
+ Masters Degree, MBA or degree in Engineering preferred.
+ Direct experience with water heaters and a proven understanding of the water heating industry and customer channels
+ Prior product management experience
Working Conditions & Travel Requirements
+ Working conditions are typical for an office environment.
+ 15-25% to GEA sites, customers, and suppliers as needed; both domestic and International travel.
+ **Work from anywhere but would need to travel to Louisville regularly (20-25%) to meet with the team, etc.**
