    CTG is seeking to fill a Senior BEOL Wet Etch Engineer opening for our client in Yorktown Heights, NY.

     

    **Location:** Yorktown Heights, NY

    **Duration:** Ongoing Contract

    **Shift:** 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM

    Duties:

    + Develop and qualify new wet etch and clean processes for integration into advanced semiconductor fabrication on 200mm silicon wafers

    + Support research efforts in quantum computing by designing etching chemistries that minimize chip damage and enhance device performance

    + Evaluate and assess vendor-supplied chemistries for process viability and compatibility

    + Collaborate closely with engineers and research teams to execute R&D tasks in a cleanroom environment

    + Learn and adapt quickly, execute procedures with high precision, document thoroughly, and communicate clearly across teams

    Skills:

    + Advanced knowledge of semiconductor liquid etching fundamentals and BEOL/front-end wets processing

    + Strong background in chemistry and physics as applied to semiconductor fabrication

    + Proficient with cleanroom protocols and safe handling of hazardous chemicals and gases

    + Excellent computer and analytical skills

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English

    + Ability to meet physical demands including standing for long periods, lifting 85 lbs to knee height, and moving heavy chemical containers (up to 500 lbs) within the facility

    + Demonstrated capability to work safely in a fast-paced, physically demanding lab and FAB environment

    Experience:

    + Minimum 20 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing

    + Significant hands-on experience working in cleanroom environments and on semiconductor fabrication lines

    + Proven track record in process development, especially in wet etch and clean processes

    + Experience supporting advanced research and technology integration

    Education:

    + PhD in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field

    Safety and Compliance Requirements:

    + Completion of mandatory safety training, including but not limited to:

    + Chemical Hygiene

    + Electrical Safety

    + PPE – Personal Protective Equipment

    + Hazard Communication

    + Lock Out / Tag Out – Awareness

    + Laboratory Safety

    + Machine Guarding

    + Arsenic and Lead Safety

    + Hazardous Gas Safety

    + Engineered Nanoparticles Safety

    + Contractor Safety Orientation

    + Cleanroom Access Protocols

    + Must be able to self-evacuate from laboratory in case of emergency

    + Must adhere to all site safety protocols and complete ongoing safety education as required

     

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
