    Rochester, NY – On-site

     

    Per Diem Nonexempt: Approximately 9-15 hours/week, shifts flexible between mornings and evenings

    We are seeking a talentedOutreach Caseworkerto join our team of nearly 500 employees. Rise Up Rochester is a nonprofit that empowers the community to establish and maintain a nonviolent culture and provides support to crime victims. TheOutreach Caseworkeris assigned to work on behalf of CCSI’s customer and will report to local high schools to support staff by conducting mediations, working with youth in peer groups and providing social and emotional support.

     

    CCSI is partnering with Rise up Rochester to hire anOutreach Caseworker.This position is employed by CCSI and working on behalf of Rise up Rochester.

     

    In this role, you will

     

    + Develop relationships with at-risk youth, young adults, and their families.

    + Conduct neighborhood canvassing, especially in high-risk areas and after shooting.

    + Table at community events.

    + Collaborate with other organizations doing community outreach.

    + Maintain and complete documentation and reporting.

    + Attend daily outreach debriefing meetings.

    + Conduct mediations with the community and partner with community organizations.

    + Help develop and implement our Boys 2 Men program for high-risk youth. Mentor and build relationships with participants.

    + Other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    What You Bring

     

    + Highschool diploma/GED and 5 years work experience, or equivalent education and work experience (see CCSI's equivalency chart (https://www.ccsi.org/CCSI/media/pdfs/Equivalency-chart.pdf) )

    Required for this position are:

    + Satisfactory completion of all required background screenings.

    + Flexibility on some Saturdays & Sundays for neighborhood events.

    + Training in areas such as solution focused trauma informed care, restorative practice and conflict resolution.
