Description
For 80 years, we have been one of upstate New York’s largest providers of programs and services for individuals who have disabilities. Many of the innovative programs and vital services that we offer are not available elsewhere.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Agent to support the Manager in the daily operations of the Purchasing Department. This role is essential in managing purchase orders, maintaining vendor relationships, overseeing inventory control, and supporting both end-users and the Finance department with key procurement functions. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
+ Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience in purchasing or related business functions preferred
+ Valid New York State Driver’s License in good standing
Skills & Abilities:
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
+ Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage high volumes efficiently
+ Flexibility to work extended hours or a varied schedule with short notice
+ Proficient in computer usage and procurement systems
+ Ability to drive a delivery van as needed
Compensation for this position is $25.46 - $27.05 per hour. Commensurate with experience.
