The Compliance Manager – Export Controls & Trade Compliance at Oshkosh AeroTech is responsible for leading the export compliance program for the Jetway and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) businesses. Reporting to the Oshkosh AeroTech, VP – Finance, this position ensures compliance with applicable U.S. and international trade laws, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), sanctions regulations, and customs compliance. The role includes oversight of licensing, audits, training, policy development, and interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a robust compliance framework that supports global business operations.
**Location** : The position can be based in Orlando, Florida or Ogden, Utah. It requires being onsite and traveling between the Oshkosh AeroTech locations.
YOUR IMPACT:

+ Lead and manage export control and trade compliance programs, ensuring adherence to EAR and related regulations.
+ Develop, implement, and continuously improve internal compliance policies, procedures, and manuals specific to the Jetway and GSE businesses.
+ Serve as the subject matter expert at Oshkosh AeroTech on export-related matters and partner closely with the Oshkosh Compliance organization.
+ Prepare, review, and submit export license applications, commodity classifications, and other filings with the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS).
+ Conduct internal audits, assessments, and risk evaluations related to export activities, technology transfers, and deemed exports.
+ Work cross-functionally with legal, supply chain, engineering, operations, and sales teams to ensure compliance is integrated into business processes.
+ Provide training to employees, management, and third-party partners on EAR and global trade compliance topics.
+ Monitor changes in U.S. and international trade regulations and advise senior leadership on their implications.
+ Investigate and resolve potential violations; lead corrective action efforts and coordinate voluntary disclosures where appropriate.
+ Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers to ensure accurate documentation and shipping processes.
+ Perform self-assessment of compliance to published procedures, contractual and FAR/DFARS requirements.
+ Ensure compliance with company policy and procedures, contractual and FAR/DFARS requirements. Ensure policy and procedures are updated to reflect any changes to government regulations.
+ Act as the liaison to DCMA during their annual assessment of the company’s property management system.
+ Assemble, review, and disseminate important information on audit processes, provide data requests to DCMA, and assist in the review and resolutions
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Compliance, Finance or related degree
+ Seven (7) or more years of relevant experience in finance, export controls, or global trade compliance.
+ Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate and influence
+ Problem-solving, analytical and decision-making, and skills.
STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
+ Experience managing compliance under EAR and related export control regimes.
+ Previous compliance experience in the aerospace, defense, or industrial equipment industries.
+ Familiarity with BIS SNAP-R, ECCN classification, and Automated Export System (AES) filing.
+ Certified Export Compliance Professional is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS
+ Occasional domestic and international travel.
+ May require flexible work hours to support global operations.
Pay Range:
$102,800.00 - $176,800.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
