    What You’ll Do:

    + Provide respiratory therapy services and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.

    + Assess patient conditions, determine treatment requirements, and administer therapy.

    + Transport mechanically ventilated patients and respond to code situations.

    + Maintain and update patient charts with therapy information.

    + Demonstrate respiratory care procedures to trainees and supervise students.

    + Set up and operate respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring optimal treatment results.

    + Evaluate medical orders and interpret clinical data to optimize patient care.

    + Monitor patient responses to therapy and perform pulmonary function tests.

    Qualifications:

    + Graduate of a CoARC (Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) approved Respiratory program.

    + Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

    + Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

    + Maintenance of certification under NBRC requirements for those who received their RRT credential after July 1, 2002.
