    UPMC Western Maryland is looking for a friendly and dedicated individual to join our Food and Nutrition team as a Food Service Worker. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for providing excellent customer service.

    Shift Details:

    + Weekday Shifts: 6:30 am to 3:00 pm

    + Weekend Shifts: Every other weekend, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm

     

    Role Overview: In our pizza area of the kitchen, you will be primarily responsible for prepping pizzas, cleaning, stocking, and covering cashier breaks. Your main goal will be to ensure that all sales are accurately registered and that the security of all monies is maintained throughout your shift.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Set up the cashier's station at the beginning of the shift and maintain funds appropriately.

    + Conduct cleaning duties to keep the work area in a clean and orderly condition according to HACCP guidelines.

    + Provide all customers with a receipt as proof of payment.

    + Complete supply inventory and order supplies as necessary.

    + Ensure food products are charged accurately by checking portion sizes and verifying contents with customers.

    + Notify the supervisor/manager of any discrepancies immediately.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Performance Standards:

    + Accuracy, efficiency, and speed in completing tasks.

    + Adherence to system competencies and behaviors.

    + Ability to communicate appropriately and respectfully with the public and mental health consumers.

    + Maintain good working relationships with co-workers, case managers, and other individuals within the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

    + Follow guidelines for shift coverage and call-off procedures.

    + Record miscellaneous non-monetary purchases accurately.

    + Adhere to department dress code and health code guidelines.

    + Collect money from cash customers and return change accurately according to established cash handling procedures.
