Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time Security Officers to join our team at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. As a Security team member, you will work under the Security Manager, maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and team members, in accordance with West Virginia Gaming Commission and applicable operational standards. What will you do?

+ Ensure that identification is checked for proper admittance to the gaming floor

+ Conduct cash escorts as required

+ Observe, handle, and report procedural violations and illegal activity

+ Operate a motorized vehicle when necessary

+ Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license, pass a motor vehicle record check, and drug test

+ Maintain crowd control as required

+ Defuse guest profanity and handle issues or complaints professionally

More about you

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ Operate a motorized vehicle when necessary

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

+ Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license, pass a motor vehicle record check, and drug test

+ Must be able to be licensed by State Gaming Commission

+ Ability to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations when handling guest issues or complaints

+ Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times

Physical requirements

+ Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

+ Operate a motorized vehicle when necessary

+ Ability to communicate through two way radio

+ Bending, stooping, lifting and carrying occasionally

+ Hold and maintain a valid driver’s license, pass a motor vehicle record check, and drug test

+ Vision sufficient to perform duties day or night

+ Exposure to an occasionally smoky and loud environment
