    POSITION: Appearance Enhancement Instructor (Cosmetology or Barbering) – Anticipated (FT - 10 month), FTE Based on Enrollment

    SITE/BUILDING: Jefferson Middle School, Port Jefferson, NY

     

    ASSIGNMENT: Department of Career, Technical and Adult Education

     

    START DATE: September 1, 2025

     

    MINIMUM STARTING SALARY: $59,861.00*

     

    * Minimum starting salary rates are established per 2025-2026 Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs).

    Job Qualifications

    + NYS Cosmetology or Barbering 7-12 Certification or eligible for Transitional A Certification

    + 3-5 years industry experience

    + MUST hold Cosmetology or Barbering License

    + Strong organizational and communication skills

    + Ability to plan and implement student learning per the established curriculum; CTE Exploratory Program designed to provide exposure and foundational skills to middle school behavioral students.

    + Demonstrate commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
