    Job Description

    The Instructional Technology Coach plays a vital role in supporting teachers, enhancing student literacy outcomes, and promoting a culture of continuous growth and collaboration. This position is responsible for supporting the professional growth and development of all teachers to facilitate learning and independent application of effective instructional technology practices. Position provides support through planning, modeling, co-teaching, training, and data analysis across all content areas. Position plans and conducts professional development based on assessed building and/or teacher needs. Position functions within the Technology Department as a organization-wide staff developer and curriculum specialist

     

    with a passion for empowering both students and teachers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of best practices in integrating instructional technological resources and organizational initiatives with a commitment to fostering meaningful, effective learning experiences.

    Job Duties

    + Provide personalized coaching, modeling, and feedback to 2-4 teachers to improve literacy instruction and student outcomes.

    + Collaborate with teachers to design and implement engaging and meaningful technology infused lessons aligned with curriculum standards, including the use of small group and individualized instruction.

    + Assists teachers in using technology effectively for assessing student learning, differentiating instruction, and providing rigorous, relevant and engaging learning experiences for all students.

    + Collaborates with instructional staff in regards to effective use of technology tools and resources to systematically collect and analyze pertinent data, interpret results and communicate findings to improve instructional practice and maximize student learning.

    + Coaches' teachers in and models the use of online and blended learning, digital content and collaborative learning networks to support and extend student learning as well as expand opportunities for online professional development for teachers and administrators.

    + Introduces teachers to new technology integration methods, materials and instructional strategies that have proven to increase student achievement.

    + Works collaboratively and communicates effectively with the Head of Schools, Director of Technology, Director of Instruction, school-level instructional coaches and grade level leaders to evaluate, select and implement technology enhanced learning experiences addressing content standards and student technology standards.

    + Identifies technology integration competencies among instructional staff, in collaboration with school administrators, and delivers appropriate coaching, training, and resources to support the professional growth of individuals.

    + Evaluate results of professional learning programs to determine the effectiveness on deepening teacher content knowledge, improving teacher pedagogical skills and/or increasing student learning.

    + Model and promote digital citizenship by facilitating safe, healthy, legal and ethical use of digital information and technologies.

    + Engages in continual learning to deepen content and pedagogical knowledge in technology integration and current and emerging technologies necessary to implement the ISTE Standards-S(students) and ISTE Standards-T (teachers)

    + Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities.

    + Mentor and collaborate with grade-level teams, providing ongoing support for project-based learning and co-teaching practices.

    + Stay current with research on literacy education, share insights with colleagues, and provide access to relevant resources, including articles, books, and instructional tools.

    + Participate in the data team process, including creating common formative assessments and refining curriculum objectives.

    + Provide follow-up support through classroom observations, walkthroughs, and targeted coaching sessions.

    + Promote the school's educational programs through digital platforms and social media to enhance community engagement.

    + Attend and actively participate in school leadership meetings, contributing to the development of instructional goals and professional learning plans.

    + Regularly evaluates and reflects on professional practice and dispositions to improve and strengthen ability to effectively model and facilitate technology-enhanced learning experiences.

    + Supports the collaboration and communication among school and district staff through the management of electronic interaction venues, e.g. websites and video-conferencing.

    + Coordinates with school and technical support staff for timely reporting of equipment needing repair or other support issues, as well as ensuring the smooth and successful deployment of new technologies to

    + include troubleshooting basic software, hardware and connectivity problems common to digital learning environments.

    + Act in a professional and ethical manner, adhering to school policies and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

    + Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Schools or supervisor.

    Qualifications:

    + Master's degree in Education, Educational Technology, or a related field required.

    + Valid teaching certification - required

    + Minimum of five to seven years of successful classroom teaching experience, preferably in Kindergarten through eighth grades.

    + Able to work an eleven-month position

    + Demonstrated expertise and best practices.in integrating instructional technologies with the schools curriculum.

    + Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

    + Ability to coach and mentor adult learners in a supportive, non-judgmental manner.

    + Proficiency in using data to drive instruction and improve student outcomes.

    + Commitment to equity, inclusion, and meeting the needs of diverse learners.

     

    Salary

     

    In accordance with REACH Academy Charter School's salary step scale and verification of prior years of teaching. Step 1 starts at $45,000 and Step 11 is $65,830. You must have a valid teaching certificate to start on the salary steps or be working towards completion of certification. This position is an 11-month position, and the salary will be annualized for 11 months.
