    Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.

     

    + Minimum 3 years of reliable experience working in a professional office environment

    + Proficient with Microsoft Office

    + Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects and complete within deadlines

    + Demonstrated communication skills across administrative units

    + Basic editing, and time management

    + Maintain confidential information

    + Ability to prepare clear, concise, and grammatically correct correspondence

    + Ability to establish and maintain effective records and files

    + Knowledge of accounting, budgeting, hiring, and purchasing practices

    Preferred Qualifications

    + 5 years in an office environment

    + Prior experience in planning successful events/meeting

    + Knowledge of Texas State policies and procedures

    Job Description

    Responsible for performing varied accounting and clerical work in support of the assigned grant. Will work closely with primary grant staff to assist with needs.

    Job Duties

    + This position will work on the grant project and assist in the business office as needed.

    + Responsible for providing professional supervision and support to a grant

    + Prepare grant reports including but not limited to salary/fringe, quarterly, cost share and F&A allocation reports

    + Prepare stipend and scholarship awards for students under grant or special accounts

    + Placing orders for equipment, supplies, and services within the grant scope of work

    + Validate invoices to purchase orders and goods receipts

    + Assist with planning large projects

    + Assist employees with travel

    + Reconciling account
