The Role: Chief Administrative Officer
Reporting to our visionary Service Area Chief Executive (CE), the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides leadership, direction, planning, and oversight for our ministry's operational matters. As a key leader, you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of healthcare delivery within the service area.
What You'll Do:
+ **_Operational Innovator:_** Lead the daily operations of the medical center to ensure top-notch quality, safety, caregiver engagement, provider collaboration, and exceptional patient experiences.
+ **_Strategic Process Enhancer:_** Monitor, assess, and enhance operational processes to exceed key hospital objectives and metrics, setting new standards in healthcare delivery.
+ **_Resource Optimization Leader:_** Champion initiatives that boost resource management, elevate care quality, enhance safety, and drive stakeholder satisfaction.
+ **_Financial Guardian:_** Manage budgeting, staff productivity, key contracts, and operational accountability across select service lines.
+ **_Relationship Builder:_** Cultivate robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including caregivers, core leaders, advisory council members, and government officials, to create a cohesive leadership team.
What You'll Bring:
+ **_Educational Background:_** Master's Degree in Health Administration, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ **_Leadership Experience:_** Minimum of 5 years in senior leadership roles within acute care hospitals or medical centers, plus 7 years of progressively responsible leadership positions in healthcare.
+ **_Industry Insight:_** In-depth understanding of healthcare trends and their implications for operational strategies.
+ **_Operational Expertise:_** Strong knowledge of hospital operations, patient safety, quality, financial management, and caregiver engagement.
+ **_Relationship Skills:_** Proven ability to establish and nurture relationships with diverse groups and excellent communication skills.
+ **_Strategic Problem-Solver:_** Ability to involve others in key decisions while ensuring timely resolutions.
+ **_Values Alignment:_** Personal values consistent with Providence Health and Services, with the ability to articulate and embody the Mission, Vision, and Core Values to all stakeholders.
