Job Description
AECOM is seeking a **Civil Designer / Digital Delivery Lead** with an understanding of **CAD Software** , civil infrastructure design, and digital delivery processes to join our **Ports and Marine** business line. This position will be located in Orange, CA. This pivotal role supports complex infrastructure projects with an emphasis on innovation, standardization, and efficiency through digital tools. The ideal candidate will lead CAD standards implementation, train project teams, and support large-scale marine and port infrastructure design.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead and implement digital delivery strategies across port and marine projects using CAD software and related tools.
+ Develop and maintain CAD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows to align with AECOM and client requirements.
+ Provide technical mentorship to engineers, drafters, and technicians in digital design platforms and practices.
+ Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to ensure integrated design deliverables and quality assurance.
+ Collaborate with project managers and discipline leads to meet project deadlines and quality goals.
+ Oversee file organization, data integrity, and compliance with digital delivery protocols and client expectations.
+ Engage in continuous improvement of digital tools, working with global technology groups.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
+ BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 10+ years of progressive experience in civil design and CAD management within transportation or public works.
+ Advanced knowledge of **CAD software** , including but not limited to Microstation versions V8i SS2/SS3 and OpenRoads/InRoads and Civil 3D.
+ Proven ability to train and support teams in digital delivery tools and standards.
+ Experience preparing PS&E packages and working with public agencies like Caltrans, LADOT, and County governments.
+ Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
+ Experience working on port or marine-related civil infrastructure projects.
+ Familiarity with Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk Civil 3D, or similar collaboration platforms.
+ Prior work in a CADD Manager or Digital Delivery Lead capacity at a government or consulting agency.
+ Bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) are a plus.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,000.00 - $120,000.00.
