    WORK SCHEDULE

    + Per diem, Weekends

    + Saturday and Sunday

    + 10am - 6:30pm **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS**

    + Performs routine work in preparing and serving espresso beverages and food items and cleaning activities

    + Performs a variety of duties in the preparation and service of espresso beverages and food items. **DEPARTMENT DETAILS** The Nutrition and Food Services department supports UW Medicine's mission by delivering extraordinary experiences with compassionate evidence-based care, unforgettable customer service, and fresh and nutritious food for patients, families, and the greater community.Our vision is to create a supportive and empowering workplace for all, provide unparalleled experiences for our customers and patients, and improve the quality of life and health of the public. **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**

    + Provides excellent, respectful customer service to a diverse customer base, in a medical setting

    + Cleaning and stocking duties and departmental procedures.

    + Operate all espresso and/or food service equipment and machinery.

    + Prepare and serve food items. Stock supplies necessary for preparation and service of beverages and food items. Display food and espresso items in attractive manner.

    + Operate cash register. Handle cash, check and charge payments for beverage and food items in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

    + Maintaining sanitation standards and excellent customer service. **REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**

    + Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment AND one year of experience preparing and serving food and beverage.
