**Shift** : Part Time
**Work Schedule:** Wednesday – Sunday, 8 hours/day shifts

• Largest city near the center of the triangular area defined by the Interstate highways between Atlanta, GA, Birmingham, AL, and Chattanooga, TN.
The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for administering occupational therapy modalities of treatment per Plan of Care and as supervised by the Occupational Therapist. The COTA assists with restoration of patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability..

Assess patient pain interfering with optimal level of function or participation in rehabilitation - make appropriate physician contact for intervention.
Perform all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
Assisting with a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and assess effectiveness of learning, include family in teaching as appropriate. Apprise staff Occupational Therapist of conclusions.
Demonstrate knowledge of occupational therapy modalities.
Treat patients and families with respect and dignity. Identify and address psychosocial needs of patient and family.
Interact professionally with patient and family and involve patient and family in patient education.
Coordinate and assist with directing patient care to ensure patient's needs are met and hospital/HH policy is followed.
Communicate appropriately and clearly to physicians, hospital staff and members of the Home Health department.
