Overview
The Supervisor (Bilingual Spanish) is responsible in managing, delegating job assignments and provide guidance to the waste management team members and arrange disposal of client waste. Supervisors are assigned in organizing a steady flow of recyclable goods. These items include but not limited to large cardboard items, plastic, scrap, refuse and wooden shipping pallets. All staff will be trained on safety protocols and distribution of materials. Everyone is responsible for maintaining a safe, respectful and heathy work environment.
**Days/Shift:** Position is full-time, onsite Monday through Thursday, with hours of 6am - 6pm.
**Location:** South Austin/Dell Valley.
**Pay:** $23 - $25/hour

Essential Functions
+ Always communicate regularly and professionally with client, teammates, staff and other contractors.
+ Supervisors are responsible for operating in assigned areas and possible use of balers. These areas are subject to change on any given day depending on the client and managerial needs.
+ Supervisors are further responsible for staff training on any/all safe transportation, loading, and unloading of recyclable goods.
+ Complies with all security, compliance and safety standards and procedures established by ABM and our Client.
+ Reports to ABM site Management Operations on any and all tasks.
Responsibilities
+ Supervisor is responsible for overseeing crew members and leads, performance and safety. Leading and directing the recycling team in a positive productive manner.
+ Establishes and maintains daily effective communication and working relationships with clients, leads, and managers; to insure we are meeting client needs and company duties.
+ Preform daily safety talks, regular job and new hire training, ensure all staff are certified/trained on job duties.
+ Complete all ABM training, recordkeeping and upkeep of any required courses for yourself and team.
+ Ensure that work equipment is in good condition, clean and sanitized before, during, and after your shift.
+ Following through with any potential disciplinary action given to team members, reporting any/all performance issues/improvements to the Management.
+ Monitor and maintain appropriate staffing levels, attendance sheets and daily schedules.
+ Regulation, distribution and reporting of all company paperwork and team time keeping accurately. Including but not limited to WFMs, Incident reports, PTO forms, Training sheets and other ABM documents.
+ Understand and embody ABM Core Values and Acceptable Behaviors.
+ Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Other:
+ Ability to adjust work schedule as needed to support the operation.
+ Ability to effectively lead a staff of direct reports.
+ Ability to effectively communicate and to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating and procedural manuals, and handbooks.
+ Basic understanding of computer programs, including Microsoft Office.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
+ Ability to resolve issues under tight timeframes and pressure.
+ Ability to prioritize assignments and projects and to multi-task within restricted time constraints.
+ Excellent team building and planning skills.
+ Strong interpersonal skills: ability to develop productive business relationships, and ability to influence and educate employees.
+ Work environment may require extended time standing, walking, and lifting. May also be exposed to hazardous waste.
Qualifications
+ Minimum of one (1) year Supervisory experience
+ Bilingual Spanish required
+ Must be 18 years of age or older.
