    Job Description Summary

    This position is focused exclusively on the placement of debt and/or equity for commercial real estate transactions.  Debt Associates have the opportunity to be involved in every stage of our business including analyst training and management; business pursuits including market research, analysis, client meetings, events, and material preparation; transaction management including underwriting, market research, property tours, preparation of offering materials, marketing, term sheet negotiation, and closing. The Associate will work in a high-energy, team-focused environment that requires critical thinking, resourcefulness, and a strong interest to develop.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare debt and/or equity offering memorandums for commercial real estate transactions, including research, financial modeling, and composition of materials.

    + Responsible for the oversight of financial modeling and analyst training.

    + Aid in the transaction process through active market outreach and coordination with the team.

    + Manage the due diligence process through underwriting, marketing, and closing, and be in constant communication with the Producer, the market and the Client.

    + Must be technically proficient in use of databases and resourceful to help facilitate the creation of materials, pitch books, market reports and meeting materials.

    + Must understand and review real estate documents (leases, loan documents, appraisals, etc.) to determine if any issues exist and determine what could be a concern.

    + Develop an understanding of the market to recommend financing alternatives and capital sources to present to the Producer.

    + Begin to build client network within the industry through meetings, events, and involvement in real estate trade organizations.

    + Other duties as assigned.

    + This role is salaried plus an annual, discretionary, broker-paid bonus structure

    Experience

    + 3+ years of experience in financial analysis environment; mortgage or commercial real estate industry is preferred,

    + Self-motivated, collaborative, and strong time management skills to prioritize deadlines.

    + Excellent organizational, interpersonal, quantitative, writing and communication skills; able to interface with clients including their top-level executives.

    + Strong writing skills with ability to communicate analytical and marketing data effectively.

    + Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information.

    + Ability to be an independent worker with a team player attitude with a strong intellectual curiosity.

    + Proficiency with excel and the Microsoft office suite.

    + Experience modeling in Argus.

    + PowerPoint design or InDesign a plus
