Job Description Summary
The Avionics Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the human resources strategy for the Avionics P&L. This position partners closely with leadership to design and implement a comprehensive People Strategy focused on talent development, fostering a culture of respect, driving continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional results for our customers. The HRBP will directly support the Avionics Programs and Operations team while leading a team of HR Partners across a global footprint. The role will report to the Defense & Systems Senior HR Business Partner.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
+ Serve as a trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance and coaching to senior leaders and employees in a complex, matrixed business environment.
+ Lead HR strategy execution for Grand Rapids, Clearwater, and Brisbane sites, ensuring alignment with business goals and promoting employee advocacy.
+ Develop and implement contemporary HR strategies to foster an engaged and high-performing workforce.
+ Inspire, lead, and develop the HR team across key areas, including talent acquisition, talent development, succession planning, retention, learning, employee engagement, and total rewards.
+ Collaborate with leadership to create a strategic workforce plan, building critical skills and a robust talent pipeline for the Avionics business.
+ Champion lean operating principles, identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
+ Provide candid feedback, coaching, and counsel to People Leaders to enhance leadership effectiveness.
+ Guide the Avionics leadership team on core HR processes, including employee advocacy, engagement, performance management, career development, talent assessment, acquisition, retention, and workplace investigations.
+ Partner with Senior HR Business Partners, Integrated Talent Partners, and HR Centers of Excellence to deliver tailored HR strategies that meet functional and site-specific needs.
Qualifications/ Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in a variety of Human Resource or related positions

+ Demonstrated success in developing and executing broad organizational strategies.
+ Experience coaching and developing senior leadership and HR talent.

+ Global HR partnership experience with an exempt workforce.
+ Master’s degree in Human Resources (preferred).
+ PHR/SPHR certification or SHRM-CP/SCP (preferred).
+ Strong knowledge of labor relations, labor contracts, and government requirements.
+ Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ High responsiveness and customer service focus, ensuring integrity, compliance, and confidentiality.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead projects and drive results with minimal supervision.
