Job Description Summary
Unison is the leading provider of differentiated engine controls, accessories, and performance monitoring solutions in the Aerospace, Defense & Space segments. Serving both original equipment manufacturers and aftermarket customers, Unison designs, manufactures and supplies the most advanced components and systems in the world.
The Lead Production Quality Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality of production processes and products. This is a customer-facing role with ownership of quality assurance of products, services, and manufacturing processes, including conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, customer audits, etc.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
+ Lead and manage quality assurance activities within the production environment.
+ Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures.
+ Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes and products.
+ Identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
+ Train and mentor production staff on quality standards and best practices.
+ Analyze quality data and generate reports to track performance and identify trends.
+ Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
+ Support new product development and introduction by providing quality input and oversight.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 7 years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Quality)
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing and/or Quality
Desired Characteristics
+ Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or Continuous Improvement
+ Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools
+ Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Strong leadership and team management abilities
+ Effective communication and interpersonal skills
+ Proficiency in using quality inspection equipment and software
+ Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma)
The base pay range for this position is $83,800 - $100,000 The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on June 30, 2025.
