Position Summary
The Process Engineer at Energizer works in a manufacturing engineering environment focused on continuous improvement and collaboration requiring a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting. This successful candidate will improve and maintain manufacturing processes, develop and refine manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with Plant staff, line operators, mechanics, supervisors, and quality control technicians to address and resolve process, system, or equipment issues on manufacturing lines
+ Identify root causes and implement solutions to prevent recurrence
+ Drive innovation by utilizing or developing new technologies and methods to continuously enhance product quality, boost department efficiency, and decrease costs
+ Develop process work instructions and reaction plans; train production workers and quality specialists on methods, inspection, and workflow functions
+ Analyze SPC data to identify process improvement opportunities
+ Interact with suppliers to resolve problems and coordinate technical interactions
+ Provide customer feedback to upstream in-house suppliers, including molding, metal stamping, and unique battery assembly processes
+ Assist R&D and manufacturing in development of quality control plans and assessment of supplier
+ Design, conduct, and analyze statistically valid experiments to test proposed improvements, qualify new materials, and increase understanding of process
+ Oversee the procurement and qualification of tooling and machinery, managing OEM equipment, and supporting manufacturing activities to enhance efficiency and quality
+ Analyze statistical process control (SPC) data to identify process improvement opportunities
+ Design and implement SPC quality plans for new processes, and improve existing process controls
+ Assess resources and provide information on issues, project status and schedules, along with daily production status
+ Balance multiple larger scope/longer term projects with daily troubleshooting/problem solving responsibilities
+ Lead problem solving teams to identify root cause, implement corrective actions, and verify efficacy
+ Comply with all company policies and procedures, including attendance and performance expectations
+ Proficiency in evaluating equipment alternatives and determining the optimal sequence and flow of operations for efficient part production
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required
What we are looking for
+ Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, etc.)
+ 3+ years process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Statistical design and analysis of experiments
+ Ability to analyze and interpret statistical process control (SPC) data
+ Project management experience
+ Proficiency using Minitab, Microsoft Access, Infinity QS, Solidworks skills or similar data analytics programs
+ Provide technical direction to cross functional teams to improve processes
+ Understanding of tooling and manufacturing processes
What we prefer
+ Experience in a large multi-product and multi-step processes manufacturing environment
+ Tableau, Power BI or equivalent dashboard experience

Total Rewards Package
The salary range for this position is USD $80,000.00/Yr. -
Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
