Family Clinician
The Opportunity
Family and Children’s Association (FCA) is seeking a Family Clinician (Marriage and Family Therapist) to provide counseling to individuals and families participating in our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) services. This role focuses on assessing, treating, and supporting meaningful, long-term change for individuals, couples, and families facing challenges related to substance use, mental health, and other behavioral health concerns. Services are delivered both in-office and in community settings.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct individual, family, and group counseling sessions, as well as other prescribed treatment services, in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
+ Complete intake assessments, develop and monitor treatment plans, and collaborate with the clinical team to ensure effective care planning.
+ Maintain caseload and productivity targets while ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all client interactions and services.
+ Coordinate care with external providers to support integrated treatment and ensure continuity of services.
+ Participate as an active member of the interdisciplinary treatment team, including attending case conferences, team meetings, and required trainings.
+ Ensure all client records and reports are completed in compliance with agency standards and regulations set by HIPAA, the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), and the NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH).
Qualifications
+ Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and active New York State licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) required
+ Minimum of 1 year of experience providing individual and group counseling to individuals with substance use or mental health needs; internship experience may be considered.
+ Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
+ Valid New York State driver’s license with a clean driving record.
