    Summary

    We are seeking highly skilled, experienced **Shift Supervisors (SS),** well versed in physical security operations. Primary duties are to supervise the guard force, ensure the enforcement of contractual security obligations are met. The SS is responsible for exercising leadership, maintaining high morale, and directing & inspecting the performance of all security personnel assigned to the shift. This includes scheduling the shift work distribution and training, answering Security Officer (SO) questions related to work, and solving shift problems with minimum supervision. The SS is armed with a side arm.

     

    _This position is contingent upon contract award_

    Responsibilities

    + Supervise the assigned Guard force to ensure all operations are executed in accordance with established protocols.

    + Will report directly to the Security Project Manager (PM) and notify him / her of all unusual or emergency situations.

    + Enforce all applicable standard operating procedures and government regulations pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property and equipment.

    + Ensure company personnel and safety policies are enforced and perform in accordance with both GPO and company policy.

    + Manages the staffing of posts during the shift ensuring complete coverage. Including, but is not limited to, coverage for vacations, illness, and call-offs

    + Ensure all Guards arrive at work in proper uniform and carrying needed, issued equipment and conduct Guard mount operations.

    + Ensure the enforcement of all general and special orders for post-assigned.

    + Identify and mitigate project security risks, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

    + Professionally interact and escort as required with public and government personnel.

    + Provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking patrol, armed security functions.

    + Will conduct walking, personnel, vehicle, building, & facility checks.

    + Must be able to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends and holidays.

    + Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    + Minimum High School Diploma or GED; an Associate’s degree with a concentration in Security management, criminal justice, or a related field preferred.

    + Must be at least 21 years of age.

    + Supervisory experience preferably, with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.

    + Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in overseeing and supervising security personnel and programs.

    + Possess Strong leadership and team management skills and possess excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

    + Ability to successfully complete all training and obtain all required permits, licenses, certifications.

    + Possess the ability to communicate via radio, telephone and orally according to orders.

    + Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions and training material.

    + Must be able to pass a Personal Security Background and NCIC Check prior to assignment.

    + Be able to meet any Federal, State, or Municipal requirements to work as a Security Guard.

    + In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.

    + Possess a valid driver’s license.

    + Ability to read, analyze, and interpret Post Orders, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

    + Ability to respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

    + Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    + Ability to question activities and issues in all functional areas and make sound business decisions based on that data.

    + Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.

    + Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
