Description
SAIC** is currently seeking a **Network Administrator II** to support the **Digital Range Training Systems (** **DRTS)** in **Fort Greely, Alaska.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Provides ongoing network support, addresses availability issues, overcomes performance problems
+ Installs, maintains, and coordinates the use of network systems
+ Manages network performance, diagnoses performance problems, and undertakes tuning activities to ensure network performance meets SLA requirements
+ Troubleshoots and resolves problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network
+ Reports on overall network performance including frequent problems, underlying issues and plans to improve network availability, performance, and problem resolution
+ Trains users, maintains, creates, and deletes user accounts
+ Maintains and updates system security plans on all platforms
+ Implements and coordinates network policies, procedures, and standards
+ Enforces network security policies and procedures. Supports integration of tactical rotational networks such as JNN; JNTC; MCS; JTEN
Qualifications
**Required Education** :
+ Bachelor of Science degree and one (1) year of experience; Additional six (6) years' experience accepted in lieu of degree
Required Clearance:
+ None; US Citizenship Required
Required Skills:
+ Experience providing ongoing network support, addressing availability issues, and overcoming performance problems
+ Skilled in installing, maintaining, and coordinating the use of network systems
+ Experience managing network performance, diagnosing performance problems, and undertaking tuning activities to ensure network performance meets SLA requirements
+ Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving problems to ensure quality transmission service on the network
+ Experience reporting on overall network performance including frequent problems, underlying issues, and plans to improve network availability, performance, and problem resolution
+ Experience training users, maintaining, creating, and deleting user accounts
+ Skilled in maintaining and updating system security plans on all platforms
+ Experience implementing and coordinating network policies, procedures, and standards
+ Experience enforcing network security policies and procedures. Supports integration of tactical rotational networks such as JNN, JNTC, MCS, JTEN
