    Description

    SAIC is seeking a Cable Fabrication/Integration - Electrical Engineer to join our team on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

    The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to:

    + Support multiple projects for the Product Integration Facility

    + Fabrication/assembly/inspection of prototype and production level military cables, harnesses, assemblies/sub-assemblies (IPC/WHMA-A-620), PCB soldering (IPC J-STD), Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) fabrication/assembly, inspection/verification, and testing

    + Assist in providing technical solutions to engineering problems

    + Research, design, development, modification, troubleshooting, and evaluation of a variety of electronic equipment, printed circuit boards, and systems using electronic principles, theories, and concepts

    Qualifications

    Education Requirements:

    + Mid-Level: Bachelor's degree and three (3) years' experience desired; additional six (6) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle)

    + Senior level: Bachelor's degree and five (5) years' experience desired; additional six (6) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle)

    Clearance Requirements:

    + Must possess an active Secret security clearance(US Citizenship required)

    Required Experience/Skills:

    + Proficient in basic electronics, soldering (including surface mount and micro soldering), and mechanical assembly

    + Experienced with basic hand tools, including DMC crimp tools, and capable of organizing workflow for multiple projects

    + Knowledge of military-level drawings and schematics and an understanding of IPC practices

    + Knowledge of electronic bench equipment such as power supplies and multi-meters as well as a functional

    + Experience fabricating cables and harnesses to IPC-620 standards

    + Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite

    + Willing to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and other shop equipment

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skill

    + Physically able to lift 50 lbs repetitively and work 8-hour shifts
