The Connecticut Orthopaedic Institute’s Physician Assistant team is a growing department that covers inpatient joint reconstruction, spine, podiatry and acute fracture care. *_Physician Assistant (PA) Description_*** * First and/or Second Assist in the Operating Room. * Provides pre-operative and post-operative care to patients. * Documents patient encounters, including but not limited to: admissions, brief operative, progress, event, procedure and discharge notes. * Enters, reviews and updates orders. * Collaborates as part of a multidisciplinary team to facilitate safe and appropriate patient disposition. *_Connecticut Orthopaedic Institute_*** TheConnecticut OrthopaedicInstitute at St. Vincent’s Medical Center is staffed by some of the top orthopaedic specialists in the region through a partnership with Connecticut Orthopaedics, Orthopaedic Specialty Group, Ortho Connecticut Coastal Orthopedic, and Valley Orthopaedic Specialists. For you, that means a quicker recovery and restored function of your knee, hip, or spine *Physician Assistant Qualifications* * Board certified or eligible within 6 months of hire (NCCPA). * Current or eligible CT PA license. * Minimal of two years of PA orthopedic or surgical experience required.
