Overview
Dynabook Americas, a leader in innovative computing solutions, is seeking a dynamic and strategic **Director of Product Marketing** to lead our product strategy for laptops, accessories, and services. The ideal candidate will own the product lifecycle from market research and positioning to launch, ensuring Dynabook’s solutions meet evolving customer needs across business, education, and government sectors. This role will work cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Corporate Marketing to drive market success and grow Dynabook’s share in the competitive laptop and mobility market.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy and Roadmap:
+ Define and lead end-to-end product marketing strategies across laptops, services, and accessories.
+ Collaborate with global product teams to influence product roadmaps based on North American market needs and trends.
+ Identify market gaps and opportunities; propose new solutions or enhancements to maintain a competitive edge.
Market Intelligence and Research:
+ Own competitive analysis efforts against major OEMs (Dell, HP, Lenovo, Apple, ASUS, Acer).
+ Conduct and present market research, buyer persona development, customer insights, and voice-of-customer studies.
+ Track technology trends (including AI, cloud services, edge computing) and integrate insights into product positioning.
Go-to-Market (GTM) Planning and Execution:
+ Develop and lead GTM plans for new products and services, including launch timelines, messaging, and sales enablement tools in conjunction with marketing.
+ Craft differentiated value propositions and positioning that resonate across verticals (public sector, education, SMB, enterprise).
+ Partner with Channel and Direct Sales to design enablement programs and marketing collateral to drive adoption working with marketing.
Lifecycle Management:
+ Manage product line lifecycle from concept through end-of-life.
+ Optimize portfolio profitability by recommending SKU rationalization, pricing adjustments, and promotional strategies.
+ Monitor product performance KPIs, and propose corrective actions where needed.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
+ Serve as the primary interface to Management, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Support teams.
+ Provide leadership and mentorship to a small product marketing team, promoting a high-performance, results-driven culture.
+ Partner with Digital and Corporate Marketing teams to drive demand generation, content strategy, and customer engagement.
Services and Solutions Marketing:
+ Develop marketing strategies for add-on services (warranty extensions, deployment services, custom configurations) and accessories.
+ Collaborate with Service Delivery and Support teams to refine service offerings based on customer feedback.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
+ 10+ years Product Management experience within the Enterprise PC industry.
+ Proven track record of successfully launching enterprise products for mature & emerging markets.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to present effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.
+ Must have a strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task effectively, and a drive for client satisfaction.
+ Self-motivated, goal-oriented personality who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, both independently as well as part of a team.
+ MS Office Proficiency (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint).
+ Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, HTML, a plus.

Compensation for this position
The compensation range for this role is$160,900-$223,600. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
