    **Process Engineers** provide common standard methodology for propagating Engineering requirements to product design activities, link product development to production capabilities, provide standard documentation for material performance characteristics and selection criteria, and provide support for the proposed solution throughout the product life cycle. Will work to improve processes in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability.

    What You Will Do:

    As a **Principal Process Engineer** , your responsibilities will include the following:

    + Quickly addressing manufacturing production issues, ensuring root causes of issues are understood, and solutions are robust and cost effective.

    + Collaborating with Factory personnel to understand material and process issues.

    + Leading continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean manufacturing techniques to reduce variability, eliminate constraints and provide ongoing process sustainment

    + Representing Process Engineering on area committees.

    + Authoring Requirements and Guidelines and supporting cleanroom certification, validation and re-qualification processes.

    + Managing lighthouse software and hardware upgrades

    + Participating in Facilities Design reviews pertaining to Production Factories

    + Main Point of Contact for any factory issues, such as shutdowns, DI water and gas systems

     

    This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon’s Tucson, AZ facility.

    Qualification Must Have:

    + Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. An advanced degree may account for additional years of experience as required for this position.

    + Experience with project execution

    + Experience with manufacturing/production processes

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    + Experience with materials and material testing

    + Experience with technical documentation

    + Experience with lean manufacturing

    + Experience with technical writing

    + Active DOD Security clearance

    The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

     

    RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
