What You Will Do
The deployment of digital capabilities into Pratt & Whitney’s engine development process is a key enabler for future capability and is critical to meeting expectations of our customers. Hot Section Engineering (HSE) is seeking a motivated CIPT Digital Lead to drive planning and execution of program specific digital initiatives across all HSE CIPTs (Diffuser/Combustor/Turbine, TEC/Aug & Nozzle) for the F135 Engine Core Upgrade (ECU) program. The CIPT Digital Lead will be a key member of the CIPT leadership team, acting as the chief product owner for CIPT digital tasks, and will be responsible for:
+ Decomposition of system level digital requirements across all HSE CIPT’s (Diffuser/Combustor/Turbine, TEC/Aug & Nozzle) supporting the F135 ECU program
+ Coordinating with program system digital lead to understand scope, priority, and program execution strategy
+ Championing adoption of digital tools and processes (Jira, Confluence, 3DX, Cameo, etc.) and train/assist CIPT/discipline usage
+ Coordinating development of HSE strategy to staff and execute work scope
+ Overseeing development and maintenance of SysML model across CIPTs
+ Managing a team of cross-CIPT specialized manpower resources
+ Leading multi-disciplinary execution of digital tasks, tracking status to milestones, and providing status updates to CIPT, program, and HSE leadership
+ Coordinating with Development Operations to define gaps in MB-DMI standards
+ Up to 10% travel
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
+ 8+ years of relevant engineering experience OR 5+ years of relevant engineering experience with an advanced degree. Relevant engineering experience: Mechanical design, structural analysis, aero/thermal analysis or systems engineering of gas turbine engine components or systems
+ U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
+ Gas turbine diffuser/combustor, turbine, augmentor and/or exhaust experience
+ Understanding of Agile project management principles and experience working within an agile framework
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a consistent record of collaboration, innovation, and initiative
+ Experience with software development and programming languages (e.g., Python)
+ Experience with digital transformation software solutions such as Teamcenter, Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS), Cameo, 3DExperience, Confluence, and Jira
+ Experience with system modeling, analysis, and simulation, including requirements traceability and validation in a model-based environment

Hot Section Engineering (HSE)
Hot Section Engineering is responsible for the design, development, technology maturation and in service support of all diffuser cases, combustors, turbines (vanes, blades, rotors and cases), augmenters (military), nozzles and associated fuel systems for all military, commercial and industrial engine models and radial auxiliary power units.
Technical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Durability and Product Definition.
What is my role type?

**Onsite:** Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
