As a Project Engineer for the Air Turbine Starter (ATS) product line, you will lead technical efforts, drive root cause and corrective actions, and support quality investigations to enhance product performance and customer satisfaction. You’ll manage supplier transitions, track project budgets and schedules, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and continuous improvement. Strong communication, engineering expertise, and problem-solving skills will be key to optimizing project outcomes and profitability.

What You Will Do

+ Provide Project Engineering leadership and ownership for Air Turbine Starter (ATS) product line

+ Confidently provide clear, concise communications with peers and Collins leadership.

+ Lead Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts to identify causes and mitigation plans for issues affecting program productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction

+ Provide customer support for Field Failure investigations

+ Resolve Supplier Requests for Information (SRIs) by providing clarifications and processing Change Requests (CRs)

+ Manage piece part supplier transitions

+ Pursue cost saving opportunities to maximize project profitability.

+ Consolidate and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project.

+ Support Quality investigations as necessary when piece-part issues affect product deliveries.

+ Verify internal processes are being executed to reduce probability of engineering turn backs.

+ Read and interpret drawings, provide mark ups, and coordinate drawing changes

Qualifications You Must Have

+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience **or** an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

Qualifications We Prefer

+ Mechanical Engineering Degree

+ Demonstrated leadership in a production role supporting aerospace rotating equipment is preferred

+ Mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical hardware is preferred

+ Experience working with cross-functional teams across department and business units is preferred

**Onsite:** Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
