    The Training and Development team develops, implements, and evaluates employee development plans and programs to support organizational needs as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines such as management development, talent management, succession planning, technical or nontechnical training, or e-learning | Monitors employee development and training programs, assesses needs and results, develops new programs and modifies existing programs.

     

    This role in summary

     

    This Training Manager (Leading People) role is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our workforce. This role focuses on leading a team of trainers and instructional designers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality training that aligns with organizational goals and fosters a culture of continuous learning. The Training Manager will also play a key role in identifying training needs, evaluating program effectiveness, and driving improvements to ensure optimal organizational performance. \#LI-DD1

     

    Your responsibilities will include

    Leadership & Management:

    + Lead, mentor, and develop a team of trainers and instructional designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

    + Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.

    + Recruit, onboard, and train new team members.

    + Manage team workloads, prioritize projects, and ensure timely delivery of training initiatives.

    + Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the training team.

    Training Program Development & Delivery:

    + Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps and develop targeted training programs.

    + Design, develop, and implement engaging and effective training materials, including presentations, manuals, e-learning modules, and interactive workshops.

    + Oversee the delivery of training programs, ensuring consistency and quality across all delivery methods.

    + Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback surveys, and performance metrics.

    + Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in training and development.

    Strategic Planning & Collaboration:

    + Develop and implement a comprehensive training strategy that aligns with organizational goals and objectives.

    + Collaborate with department managers and subject matter experts to identify training needs and develop relevant training programs.

    + Manage the training budget and allocate resources effectively.

    + Develop and maintain relationships with external training providers as needed.

    + Create and maintain training documentation, including training schedules, attendance records, and evaluation reports.

    + Use data to measure training effectiveness, and provide reports to senior management.

    + Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.

    Minimum requirements

    + Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

    + 3+ years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering training programs.

    + 3+ years of experience in using learning management systems (LMS) and other training technologies.

    + 3+ years of experience with training needs assessments.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

    + Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with experience leading a team of training professionals.

    + Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
