Position Overview
**Power your future with Qualus** as a Materials Manager in our Field Engineering department.
The Materials Manager is responsible for executing the materials plan through strategic supplier relationships and schedule to meet production demands. You will be responsible for overseeing all daily procurement activities, cycle count program fulfillment, overseeing ordering and receipt of shipments in compliance with all regulations. You will directly supervise raw materials planning, scheduling, purchasing and receiving functions.
Responsibilities
+ Manage material coordination, issue resolution, and escalation for Transmission construction projects.
+ Conduct site visits to inspect materials and troubleshoot issues.
+ Directly supervise raw materials planning, scheduling of, purchasing, and receiving functions.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including construction, engineering, and supply chain management.
+ Fulfill, monitor and set safety stock levels to meet delivery targets and inventory reduction goals.
+ Ensure all materials are available for successful execution on shop floor.
+ Oversee all daily procurement activities needed to fulfill production demand.
+ Maintain sufficient raw material stocking levels to protect production and customer schedules.
+ Effective communication/scheduling of inbound with logistics providers.
+ Ensure all delivery receipts and put away processes are being executed accurately and timely.
Qualifications
+ 5+ years of experience in construction and material management / logistics within utilities.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook.
+ Familiarity with project management tools such as Smartsheet.
+ Ability to read/interpret blueprints, drawings, or other technical material.
+ Ability to communicate effectively and work well in a team-based environment.
+ Excellent attention to detail.
+ Highly organized and process driven.
+ Dedicated to the pursuit of continuous improvement.
+ Ability to travel frequently to job sites, kitting yards, and warehouses.
